An adaptive audio companion

Sound that understands the moment.

Voice, music and silence together. You speak naturally while music plays. Auralis listens, moves the music toward what helps, and speaks only when it would genuinely help. Silence is a feature, not a bug.

Free. Coming to the App Store; try it now on TestFlight. For iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Requires iOS 27. Headphones recommended.

A live Auralis session: a softly glowing orb under an evening sky, Auralis's words across it, and the music playing.
How a session feels

It listens first.

  • Talk to it like a person. No buttons needed during a session: say “next song”, “remember that”, ask a question any time, or say nothing at all.
  • The music follows you. Apple Music, or keep whatever is already playing, from YouTube to Spotify. Auralis moves the music toward what helps, and recognizes the song.
  • It waits for a real pause. In journaling and dream sessions it waits out the pauses mid-sentence and answers once you've really finished.
  • Need Help is always on screen. Grounding, a trusted contact, or emergency services, with nothing dialed without your tap.

Today and Practice

What to do now, and everything to start.

Today brings it into one place: today's path day or what suits the hour, where you left off, what to start again or try next, your recent sessions, your practice over time, something your journal shows, a question to write on, and last night's dream in the morning. The order follows the time of day.

Practice holds every kind of session, flows that combine several into one, and paths of a few days, one session a day.

The Today screen: a greeting, today's day on your path with a Begin button, Talk with Auralis, a Looking Back letter, and something Auralis noticed in your journal.
Sessions

Guided practice, and a companion to talk with.

Guided sessions lead you through; companions follow where you go. Or describe what you want, and Auralis shapes a session around it.

Guided

Meditation

Breath, body scan, loving-kindness, counting, noting, Six steps to stillness, Glimpses, Mantra and more, with bells and a silent sit.

Guided

Breathwork

Calm, Box, Resonant, Journey and Sacred breath, paced with gentle tones.

Guided

Sleep

Wind down while the music fades to silence. Ask something as you drift off, even once it's gone quiet, and it answers softly.

Guided

Focus and Album Journey

Quiet work intervals with gentle breaks, or an album or playlist of your choice, guided track by track.

Guided

Movement

Walking, running, yoga, qigong, tai chi, stretches, dance, restorative yin, somatic movement, balance and self-massage, and from the traditions the Eight Brocades, a sun salutation and a prayer walk. The free-form practices change each time and grow with you; the traditional forms stay as taught. Follow a figure that moves with the words; workouts go to Apple Health.

Companion

Journaling

Speak your thoughts. Auralis listens, asks now and then, and makes your entry from what you said, in your own words.

Companion

Dreams

Record a dream as you wake, and Dreamwork to step back into one and find your own meaning.

Companion

Learning and Storytelling

Learn about anything by voice, part by part, or hear a story told with music: interactive, straight through, or at bedtime.

Companion

Inquiry and Active Imagination

Explore what's here, one curious question at a time, or turn toward an inner image and speak with it.

Paths and traditions

A few days that build on each other.

17 paths, one session a day: a first week of stillness, a month of mornings, ten nights with your dreams, sleep, grief, meeting your shadow and more. Each day remembers the days before. Auralis can also shape a path around a theme from your own journal.

Turn on the traditions you practice, several at once, and each adds its own practices, sleep practices, mantras and paths:

  • Buddhist
  • Christian contemplative
  • Yogic
  • Shamanic
  • Sufi
  • Taoist
  • Jewish contemplative
  • Stoic

Tonglen, centering prayer, lectio divina, Kirtan Kriya, dhikr, the inner smile, hitbodedut, the evening review, and more.

Paths in Practice: a path in progress with its days as a track, the first week, and making a path from your journal.
Journal

Your words, and what they show.

  • Entries in your own words. Write, speak, or add a session, and the entry is made from what you actually said.
  • Reflections. A slow reading of an entry: what's on the page, what moves underneath, its images, with directions to go deeper.
  • Noticing and Looking Back. Themes and patterns across your journal, and letters about a span of it.
  • Revisit it over time. Mark an entry that matters and come back to it a day, a week, a month and three months on: your words read back, one question for where you are now, and what you're carrying from it.
  • Pictures, if you like. With your own OpenAI key or your Mac, an entry becomes a picture in the style you choose: a dreamlike painting, watercolor, ink or a cinematic photo.
  • Health patterns, if you allow them. With Apple Health reading on, Auralis works out on your iPhone how your sleep, heart rate variability and resting heart rate go with your sessions, journal themes and dreams. Observations with their numbers, never medical claims.
Insights in the Journal: what Auralis is noticing across your entries, Patterns, and a Looking Back letter.
And around it

Library, Apple Watch, widgets and Siri.

Library

Every tradition is a course, with philosophy, psychology and mythology beside them, and you can follow any topic. Listen to a lesson or read it, ask about it, try a practice, and answer recall questions that come back over the following weeks.

Apple Watch

Breathe on your wrist with a circle and a tap at each breath, your heart rate, and Mindful Minutes saved to Health. Start, pause or end a session on your iPhone from the Watch.

Widgets and Siri

Today on Your Path, Quote of the Day, Start a Practice, Your Practice, Write in Your Journal and Record a Dream, on the Home Screen and Lock Screen. Start a practice from Siri, Shortcuts or the Action button, and let a Focus filter Auralis to what fits.

Your Mac, too

A larger model, from your own Mac.

Auralis runs on your Mac as well, and your Mac can lend its much larger model to your iPhone and iPad, at home or away, privately.

Shared with your devices

A direct, encrypted link set up through your own iCloud. Your iPhone and iPad use the Mac's model for replies, and nothing goes to a service.

Auralis Model Host

A small menu-bar helper that holds the largest model your Mac can run and shares it even with Auralis closed. Turn on Open at Login and forget it.

The same Auralis

Sessions, the Journal, paths and the Library on the Mac too, kept the same everywhere with iCloud sync if you turn it on.

Private by design

Your words stay yours.

  • No audio is ever recorded. Your words are transcribed on your device, live.
  • No account, no tracking. Auralis doesn't ask who you are. Anonymous counts of which features are used, and of crashes and slow launches, help fix problems, with no words and nothing that identifies you; turn them off in Settings.
  • On your device, or your own iCloud. Sessions and journal stay on your device, and in your private iCloud only if you turn on sync.
  • Private mode. Nothing goes to a service: commands and summaries on your device, and replies from your own Mac's model, shared over a private link.
  • Your choice of service. Add your own AI key, or subscribe to Auralis Cloud, and your words go only there.

Pricing

Free to practice. Your Mac, your key, or Auralis Cloud to talk back.

Questions

Good to know.

Is Auralis therapy or medical care?

No. Auralis is a companion for practice and reflection, not therapy, medical care or a crisis service, and its health patterns are observations, not advice. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number. Need Help in every session has grounding, your trusted contact and emergency services.

What does Auralis cost?

Auralis is free to download, with every practice, the Journal, paths, traditions, the Library and every safety feature included. Auralis Cloud is an optional $5.99 a month subscription that lets Auralis talk back in companion sessions and read your journal with you, for people without a Mac or an AI key.

Do I need an AI subscription or key?

Not for the practices, the Journal, paths or the Library: voice commands, tags and summaries use the model on your device. For Auralis to talk back in companion sessions and read your journal with you, it needs one of three: your Mac sharing its model (free and private), your own AI key, or Auralis Cloud. Without one, companion sessions listen and keep your words.

Does it record me?

No audio is ever recorded, stored or sent. The microphone is used for live transcription on your device during a session, and, if you keep music from another app playing, to recognize the song.

Can I keep listening to my own music?

Yes. Use Apple Music, or keep whatever is already playing, from YouTube to Spotify, and Auralis guides over the top.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro, with optional iCloud sync between them and an Apple Watch app. It requires iOS 27.

Which languages does it speak?

English, Spanish, French, German and Brazilian Portuguese, following your iPhone's language. The natural voices speak English only.

What does Auralis send about how it's used?

With Share anonymous reports on (Settings → Privacy & Safety; on unless you turn it off), a day's counts of which features were used, and iOS's numbers on crashes, hangs, launch time and battery use. No words, no account and nothing that identifies you, added into daily totals. Turn it off any time.

What happens to my words with Auralis Cloud?

They go over HTTPS to Auralis's relay, which checks your subscription with Apple and passes them to the model service, then streams the answer back. Neither keeps what you say. Cancel any time, and Private keeps everything on your devices.

Press play. Say what's true.

Try the one-minute demo when you first open it: say “next song”, ask something, or just listen.
