Auralis Terms of Use

Effective: November 5, 2026 App: Auralis (Auralis: Sound & Presence) Provided by: Helix Studios LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("we", "us") Contact: support@helixstudios.app

These terms explain what you can expect from Auralis and what we ask of you. We've tried to write them in plain language. By using Auralis, or subscribing to Auralis Cloud, you agree to them.

The short version

How these terms fit with Apple's

You get Auralis from Apple's App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) is the base licence for the app: it's what gives you the right to install and use Auralis on your Apple devices. These terms add to it, explaining Auralis Cloud, safety, AI and the rest. If the two ever disagree about your licence to use the app, Apple's EULA wins. Purchases are also covered by Apple's own Media Services Terms.

These terms are between you and Helix Studios LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Auralis or its content, and has no duty to provide support for it.

Who can use Auralis

Auralis is rated 18+ on the App Store and is meant for adults. By using it, you confirm you're at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live, if that's older).

Auralis Cloud (optional subscription)

Auralis Cloud lets Auralis talk back without a Mac or your own AI key: replies in sessions, reflections and answers from your journal, Looking Back letters, paths and courses written from your journal, and natural voices.

Auralis Cloud isn't shared through Family Sharing.

Not a medical or emergency service

Auralis offers meditation, breathwork, journaling, reflection and music. It is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for care from a doctor, therapist or other professional. It doesn't diagnose, treat or assess anything, including whether you or someone else is safe. If you have a health condition (for example, of the heart or lungs, epilepsy, or pregnancy), check with a professional before breathwork or other intense practices, and stop any practice that makes you feel unwell.

Auralis is not an emergency service and never contacts anyone on its own. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number.

How Need Help works. During a session, Auralis listens on your device for words of distress, disorientation or a wish not to be here. When it hears them it slows down, checks in or helps you ground yourself, and puts the Need Help button on screen (in some practices it's there from the start; on a keyboard, ⇧⌘H opens it). Need Help offers:

Nothing is dialed or sent unless you tap it, and your phone asks you to confirm a call before it's placed. On a device that can't make calls, such as most iPads, Need Help offers FaceTime, Messages and the crisis line's chat or website instead, and says to use a phone for emergencies. The support lines are also in Settings → Privacy & Safety at any time.

Auralis's listening for distress is automatic and can miss things or misread them: it may not notice when you need help, and it may sometimes check in when you don't. Please don't rely on it to notice for you. If you need help, ask for it directly, by tapping Need Help or by calling someone.

AI-generated content

Many of Auralis's replies, reflections, summaries, letters, paths and courses are written by AI models, on your device or through a service you choose. AI can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or say something unexpected, and it can misunderstand you. It doesn't know you the way a person does.

Acceptable use

Use Auralis for yourself, in good faith. Please don't:

If someone misuses Auralis Cloud in these ways, we may limit or end their access to it. Where we can, we'll tell you first and explain why.

Your content

What you say, write and record in Auralis (sessions, journal entries, notes, voice memos) is yours. It's kept on your device, and in your own private iCloud if you turn on sync; we don't have a copy. When a feature sends your words to an AI model (Auralis Cloud, or a provider you've added a key for), it's only so that model can answer you. You give us no rights to your content beyond that.

Keep your own backups of anything important. Deleting the app, or a device being lost or reset, can delete what's stored only on that device.

Third-party services and their terms

Auralis works with services run by other companies. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, which apply when you use it, and we aren't responsible for them:

Songs, artwork and other content from these services belong to their owners. Other services can change or stop, which may change what Auralis can do.

Privacy

How Auralis handles your information, what stays on your device and what goes where, is explained in the Auralis Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Our content

The Auralis app, its name, design, guidance, music selections, soundscapes and Library content belong to Helix Studios LLC or its licensors. Apple's EULA gives you a licence to use the app; it doesn't give you ownership of it. Some parts of the app use open-source software and open models under their own licences.

Changes and availability

We keep improving Auralis, so features may change, be added or be removed. We may update these terms too; when we do, we'll change the effective date above, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app or on this site before they take effect. If you keep using Auralis after a change, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using Auralis and cancel Auralis Cloud.

You can stop using Auralis at any time by deleting it (and cancelling Auralis Cloud, if you subscribe).

No warranties

We work hard to make Auralis reliable and helpful, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will always work, be error-free or uninterrupted, or meet your needs, and we make no warranties beyond those in Apple's EULA and those the law requires.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows:

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live that can't be changed by agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can't resolve together will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless the consumer laws of the country where you live give you the right to bring it where you live. Before any formal dispute, please write to us; most problems are solved by an email.

General

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer these terms to someone else; we may transfer them if Auralis moves to another company, and the terms would still protect you in the same way.
